We have an older cat that generally allows the younger cat to steal all play time. Da Bird is a great toy to play with both kitties at once, as the bird can fly high (where the older cat is on top of a cat tree) and then fly low (where the younger cat is racing around) — and one person can play with both cats at same time. We’ve purchased two of these, so that when two people are around, each cat can have her own Da Bird to chase around the house. Definately the best toy we’ve managed to find so far for our girls. The birds don’t last too long for us (younger kitty is a beast), but we’ve got a stock of replacement birds so that we’re always good to go.

My three yr old kitty is too cool to play with most any toy that’s made for cats(except mice), so when I saw the rave reviews that Da Bird got, I had to try it out on him. Plus I knew if he wouldn’t play with it my kitten surely would. I figured it had a good chance because he liked the other wand toy we had for him. Needless to say, he loves it! They both do. He cries for it and sits by the drawer I keep it in until I agree to play. And he’ll grab it out of the drawer if I leave it open. Actually it’s precious. The only issue we have, if you want to call it that, is we have to give each kitty his and her play time seperately. Missy, our kitten would love to play WITH him, but he will not share it. We are in our, “still getting used to the new kitten” phase and I thought this toy might help to bring them closer and play together, but that’s not happening. O-well, at least they sleep together and they both like the toy. Next up, my husband is building them cat tree. How exciting!

My cats love this toy SO MUCH that I have to hide it at the top of my linen closet just so they won’t destroy it in minutes. My cats are so obsessed with this toy that anytime I just TOUCH my linen closet door knob they immediately jump up and make their little chirping noises and just sit by the door, waiting for me to get it – even if I just tap the knob and walk off.
It really does emulate a flying bird very well and my cats will start flying into the air just to get at it. I usually play with my cats using this toy once a day for about 10 minutes or more and it gets them such a good workout. They run so fast after it and spring into the air and do whatever it takes to capture this thing. All cat owners need to have this! It’s such a simple toy but so much fun to play with!

The good news: the cats love it. The bad news: the weaker of my 2 cats is able to pull it apart with ease. It’s not that the same part broke twice; it was 2 different parts. But after a little superglue, it’s almost as good as new.

I decided to try yet another toy for our cat as she is so finicky with her toys, but I had little hope with getting her interested but boy was I surprised! She LOVES it!! She can be in another room & hear the toy “flying” and will come running. She jumps and twrills around chasing it all over. I will recommend it to anyone! I am very excited to find something she loves.
